Azimio leader Raila Odinga has said he will call on Kenyans to go back to the streets to protest if the dialogue going on at Bomas of Kenya is not mutual and people-centered.

Speaking at a rally at Kitengela at the weekend, the Azimio leader lauded area residents for showing solidarity with him during the anti–government protests.

“No amount of intimidation or bullets will stop us from going back to the streets to protest. Even our Constitution was borne out of protest,” he said. The Azimio leader also took a swipe at Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua terming him as disrespectful.

“Gachagua should stop peddling lies that I am eying a handshake. I consider this government tainted and I am not interested,’’ he added alluding to the criticism the Deputy President directed at him during a funeral on Friday.

Raila also sent a warning to MPs allied to Azimio Coalition who have since declared support for the Ruto administration, challenging them to resign and seek a fresh mandate.

Earlier in the day, Azimio leaders had attended an annual inter ministries church service at Enkasiti Kajiado East. During the service, he rallied local communities to resist logging in the Mau Forest and urged them to shun uncontrolled sale of land.
