Prophet Owuor flags reports of end of the world as fake

By , August 1, 2025

Repentance and Holiness leader Prophet David Owuor has denied reports that he had predicted the world would end on August 2, 2025.

In a statement released on Friday, August 1, 2025, the church, which has a significant following nationwide, dismissed the reports as false and misleading.

The church equally reiterated that Owuor has been categorical in his sermons that no one knows the hour of the Messiah’s coming, and that the reports were inconsistent with this position.

False and misleading

“We, the leadership and congregation of The Ministry of Repentance and Holiness, strongly denounce the recent spread of false and misleading information about The World Ending on August 2nd, 2025. Prophet Dr Owuor has always been very categorical on the fact that nobody knows the day or the hour when the Messiah will return, as the Bible clearly states in Matthew 24:36,” the statement reads in part.

“These claims are false, baseless, malicious, and intended to harm not only the reputation of the prophet of the Lord, Dr David Owuor, and the ministry of Repentance and Holiness, but also the unity and testimony of our church.”

The church also noted that, although it issued earlier statements on the matter as early as July 13, 2025, the reports have continued to spread.

Desist from sharing allegations

“The church issued an Official Statement on this matter on July 13, 2025, and was also captured on KBC News on July 14, 2025 https://x.com/KBCChannel1/status/1944726819703251227 as well as Radio 47 on July 15, 2025 https://www.facebook.com/watch/2v=1463215461353861,” the church states.

The Repentance and Holiness church now calls on media houses and other content creators to desist from sharing information about the end of the world as emanating from Prophet Owuor.

“We urge all media houses, bloggers, content creators, all social media users, and the general public to refrain from sharing or entertaining unverified allegations,” the church urges.

“As believers, we are called to pursue truth, peace, and righteousness. Let us not be quick
