By Mary Ouko, May 14, 2023
Defence Cabinet Secretary (CS) Aden Duale has announced that all proceeds from the sale of his book ‘ For the Record’ will be given to charity.
In a statement shared through his official Twitter account, Duale noted that the move was in memory of his late mother who died on August 25, 2020.
The vocal CS hailed his mother for nurturing him to grow into the man he is today.
“Were it not for my mother, I would not have grown from the herdsboy, strutting the dust and thistles of the North, into who I have become; the CS Defence,” he stated.
“Today, as the World honours mothers for their unconditional love, unwavering support and countless sacrifices, I am happy the story of my mother – as is of other mothers – is also the first of the thirty-two chapters of my book, ‘For the Record’,” he added.
