Instructions from Kenya Power
Kenya Power stated that these interruptions are necessary to facilitate network maintenance and system upgrades aimed at improving electricity distribution and ensuring a more stable supply in the long term.
Such statements are meant to advise customers in the affected areas to make the necessary arrangements and treat all electrical lines as live during the maintenance period.
These come hours after a similar exercise was conducted in some parts of Nairobi, Kiambu, Nyamira and Siaya, which saw the select counties lose power for an 8-hour period.
