Power blackout to affect parts of 2 counties on Tuesday, October 28
By Luke Oluoch, October 27, 2025Kenya Power has issued a notice on planned power interruptions in parts of Nairobi and Bungoma County on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
According to the circular, the outages will commence from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in parts of Nairobi. The affected areas will be along the Catherine Ndereba Road in Pipeline.
Affected areas include Scion Hosp, V Club, Joharis, Mukuru H/Centre, Part of Villafranca Est, Kings Millennium, St. Bhakita, Takbir Distribu Mukuru Educational Centre, Penda Medical Centre Embaka Bamba 70, Unique Estate, Seyani Brothers, Kenya Builders, Ho Suckle, King of Judah Ministries, Swaminarayan School and adjacent customers.
“The listed areas will be affected by planned power interruptions tomorrow (28th October 2025). The interruption is part of network maintenance, its statement read.
“Area: Catherine Ndereba Road, Pipeline (from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm), Scion Hosp, V Club, Joharis, Mukuru H/Centre, Part of Villafranca Est, Kings Millennium, St. Bhakita, Takbir Distribu Mukuru Educational Centre, Penda Medical Centre Embaka Bamba 70, Unique Estate, Seyani Brothers, Kenya Builders, Ho Suckle, King of Judah Ministries, Swaminarayan School, and adjacent customers,” Kenya Power listed.
Parts of Bungoma County (from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm)
AREA: Kimilili and Misikhu
Kimilili Slaughter, Kamusinde, Maeni, Kikwechi, Bung’aa, Kibieto, Khamulati, Nyongesa, Muricho, Ngoli, Lwanda, Chelekei, Kambimi, Lukhuna, Namawanga, Misikhu Market, Lumuli, Nasasi, Makhese, Kibingei, Kimilili Market, Kamasielo, Kapsokwony and adjacent customers.

While issuing the circular, Kenya Power has urged residents and businesses in the affected areas to make the necessary arrangements in advance to minimise inconvenience during the maintenance period.
The company added that the planned works are part of ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of electricity distribution and reduce the frequency of unplanned outages across the country.
