How they were identified
According to the report, the officers trailed the duo, leding them to a concealed stash of assorted items believed to have been stolen. Preliminary investigations established that the goods had been taken from a nearby gas shop following a break-in.
The shop owner was later contacted and positively identified the recovered items as property stolen from his premises. The items were secured and booked as exhibits as investigations continue into the incident.

“The officers spotted two suspicious individuals and proceeded to track them. The officers’ keen observation, along with a search of the surrounding area, led to the recovery of a cache of assorted items suspected to have been stolen and hidden within the vicinity,” NPS said.

Vihiga recovery
In Vihiga County, police acted on information from members of the public regarding an individual in the Mudete area suspected of handling stolen electronics.
