Two men were brutally murdered and their bodies dumped at the Kamiti Prisons farm in Kahawa West, Nairobi. Regional police commander Adamson Bungei yesterday said investigations had been launched to establish the identity of the deceased persons, the motive of the killing and the people behind it.

A resident called and informed the police that they had spotted the two bodies of middle-aged men in a thicket within the farm on Saturday afternoon.

Bungei (pictured) said the bodies seemed to have stayed there for more than two days as they had started to decompose. “An autopsy will be conducted to establish how the two died. The bodies are lying at the mortuary as and we call on those whose relatives are missing to report at the City Mortuary as part of efforts to solve the issue,” Bungei said.

“We are yet to establish the motive for now,” he added.

Elsewhere, detectives are investigating an incident in which a businessman shot and killed himself in his car in a suspected suicide mission in Sunvalley estate, Langata, Nairobi.

Abraham Meli had locked himself in his vehicle before shooting himself in the head.

The motive of the incident is yet to be known, police said.

The deceased is a former military personnel and was a licensed gun holder, his family and police said.
