Police nab 20-year-old Tanzanian in connection with multiple rape incidents
Tanzanian authorities have detained a 20-year-old man on claims of sexual violence against four women
In a statement sent to the public on Friday, October 10, 2025, the Dodoma Regional Police Commander in Tanzania confirmed that the Piere Saimoni is being held in relation to multiple cases of sexual violence.
In their preliminary investigation, the police say the person of interest threatened and carried out a criminal act against a woman in her home.

“The Dodoma Regional Police are holding a young man named Piere Saimoni (20), a resident of Nzuguni B, on suspicion of engaging in acts of rape. The young man is accused of raping four women in Nzuguni B on October 5, 2025,” a statement from law enforcers read.
According to the police Force, Saimon lives in a house with 13 other people, has been secretly pouncing on his victims and coercing them into silence with threats and intimidation of inflicting additional bodily harm.
“It is alleged that the suspect used the tactic of secretly entering the home of the woman he targeted and carrying out the act using threats of injury,” it continued.
Woman meets her death after coming home late
The police have called on the public to continue cooperating with law enforcement by providing information on criminals and to avoid taking the law into their own hands, in order to maintain peace and security in the community.
They affirmed that the person of interest would be arraigned in court once legal procedures are complete.
This announcement comes a day after the authorities placed a middle-aged man under custody for the murder of his wife.
According to the police. Paulo John, a 47-year-old farmer, confessed to killing his wife before proceeding to hide it outside near their house in a pit that was used as a toilet.
The deceased Majiyangui Samamba was a 54-year-old woman. She met her death after being assaulted by a club after she returned home late.
