Anti-Counterfeit Agency sleuths on November 29 confiscated over 800 fuel-gas cylinders set for illegal refilling at Syokimau.

In the raid at Swift Gas Refilling plant along Mombasa Road, police also arrested one suspect, who is set to be arraigned in court.

The assortment contained cylinders of more than eight different brands, according to a statement from the police.

Some of the cylinders nabbed at the refilling station

“Our inspectors together with Flying squad DCI_Kenya in a multi-agency operation netted an assortment of Gas Cylinders” read the statement.

Detectives also nabbed a saloon car and a lorry, both loaded with empty cylinders.

In July 2019, the government illegalized refilling competing brands by companies.
