Party of National Unity will hold a National Delegates Conference (NDC) on Thursday ahead of grand launch of Azimio La Umoja.

A notice to all PNU delegates signed by Secretary General John Okemwa and chairman David Kamau, says a special NDC will convene on February 24 at the Bomas of Kenya. “Agenda of the meeting shall be to discuss and ratify coalition building and the party’s working relationship with other like-minded outfits and related matters,” the notice.

It will be the first public function for warring factions in PNU since President Uhuru Kenyatta brokered an end of hostilities between factions loyal to Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi and those loyal to Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya. However, President Uhuru’s intervention is reported to have coaxed Munya and Muriithi factions to quit fighting and rally their supporters behind Azimio.
