Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama first spoke in public following the death of his son, Moses Muthama Nduya, on Thursday, February 5, 2026, on his X handle. In his statement, Muthama confirmed that his son passed away a day earlier, describing the loss as heartbreaking and difficult for the family to comprehend.

“It is with deep sorrow that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our beloved son, Moses Muthama Nduya, who passed on yesterday,” Muthama stated.

Muthama described Moses as a joyful and diligent young man whose life was cut short far too soon, leaving the family devastated.

“Moses was a joyful and diligent young man, and it is painful that his life was taken so soon. Though our hearts are heavy, we entrust him to God’s loving care. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” Muthama stated.
