‘State has to bear responsibility’ – Orengo says over bodies discovered in Mukuru
Siaya Governor James Orengo has called on the government to take responsibility of several bodies found at the Kware dumpsite in Mukuru kwa Njenga.
In a statement on Saturday, July 13, 2024, Orengo called for an end to extrajudicial killings which are being witnessed in the country.
“There must be accountability for the brutal killings that now seems to be the order of the day in Kenya. We were told no more dead bodies to be dumped in River Yala only for quarries to be turned into the new graveyards. Extrajudicial killings must stop and the state has to bear responsibility,” Orengo stated.
