Interior Principal Secretary (PS) Raymond Omollo has voiced his support for president William Ruto’s and Raila Odinga’s recently signed pact, emphasizing that it is key to elevate the country’s progress.

Speaking on Saturday, March 15, 2025, Omollo weighed in on the joint agreement between the two leaders, underscoring its importance by noting that it is a crucial step to developing the country. He particulary explained that the memorandum of understanding presents a great opportunity for Kenya to move forward.

While affirming its significance to the development agenda, Omollo went on to state that the agreement to work together between Raila and Ruto should continue till 2032, for the good of the country.

The PS emphasized his support for the union insisting that all Kenyans should be on board and that no part of the country should be left behind to progress the country.

“Our MPs are very clear in terms of how we are moving forward as a country, we know that the president one week ago, signed the memorandum of understanding with ODM leader Raila Odinga and they have agreed on working together. What we must take out of that is that they are giving us a good opportunity to push this country forward, we are not leaving any part of this country behind. And this will be the way to go, not just till 2027 but upto 2032,” he said.

Omollo’s remarks come even after the two leaders maintained that the pact is aimed at uniting Kenyans.

Earlier, Raila came out to emphasize that his move to join Ruto aims to help solve key national issues as listed in the 10-point agenda.

He equally rubbished remarks from critics affirming that he was betraying citizens reiterating that the move aims at tackling the issues gripping the country and delivering campaign promises to the people.

“Kenyans need to live between now and 2027. The 10-point agenda is not a betrayal to Kenyans. Mnasema Ruto aende, aende alafu nini ifanyike? Shida za wakenya lazima zitatuliwe sasa sio siku engine,” Raila noted.
