Officers injured after lorry rams into police roadblock

At least two police officers manning a roadblock at Allsops on Thika Road were Monday night injured after a lorry lost control and rammed into a police Canter.

According to police reports filed at Kasarani Police Station, a speedy Mitsubishi FH lorry driving towards Nairobi hit a stalled police Isuzu Canter parked at a roadside in the 10pm accident.

Two officers Police Constable Joseph Kiminda and Corporal Geoffrey Sigolia were injured in the accident and rushed to Nairobi West Hospital. PC Kiminda had skull and hand injuries while his colleague sustained a leg injury.

The report says the PC Kiminda is in a serious condition while Sigolia is in a fair condition.
