ODPP announces 16 job vacancies, extends application deadline
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has announced 16 job vacancies in an addendum to an earlier recruitment notice, inviting qualified candidates to apply for positions in its latest hiring drive.
In a notice signed by the Director of Public Prosecutions, Renson M. Ingonga, outlines two specific categories of new positions: one vacancy for a Finance Officer (Grade DPP 8) and 15 vacancies for Driver II (Grade DPP 12), bringing the total number of new posts to 16.

The recruitment follows an earlier advertisement published on March 10, 2026, through the MyGov platform and the ODPP website, with the office now issuing additional details and clarifications to prospective applicants.
The ODPP is exercising its power to appoint and supervise staff under Section 13 (2) of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Act No. 2 of 2013.
“Pursuant to Section 13 (2) of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Act No. 2 of 2013, the Office shall have power to appoint, control, and supervise its staff in a manner and for such purposes as may be necessary for the promotion of the purpose and the object for which the Office is established,” ODPP wrote.

“Further to the advertisement published on 10th March 2026 through MyGov and on the ODPP website, applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the vacancies.”
How to apply
The ODPP has specified that all applications must be submitted online through the ODPP careers portal.
The director stressed that no hard copy applications will be accepted.
“Interested and qualified persons are requested to make their applications ONLINE (no hard copy applications will be accepted) through the provided link on the ODPP website www.odpp.go.ke careers page or https://jobs.prosecutions.go.ke/,” ODPP noted.
Application dateline
The director has also revealed that the deadline for submitting applications has been extended to Monday, April 6, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

The ODPP further stressed its status as an equal opportunity employer, committed to the constitutional provisions of Article 232 (i).
The notice specifically encourages persons with disabilities, Intersex individuals, and those from marginalized and minority communities to apply for the positions.
“The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions is committed to implementing the provisions of Article 232 (i) of the Constitution. Therefore, Persons with disabilities, intersex, and those from marginalized and minority communities are encouraged to apply,” the notice read.
The notice stated that all shortlisted candidates shall be required to produce originals of their National Identification Card, academic and professional certificates, and transcripts during the interviews.
