The long-waited Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party’s National Delegates Convention (NDC) will be held on February 25 and 26.

The convention will be held at Nyayo National Stadium from 9:00 am with the main agenda being consideration and confirmation of the minutes of the NDC held in March 2017 at Kasarani indoor Gymnasium and which endorsed the party leader Raila Odinga as their presidential flag bearer.

The convention will be happening as the party told persons eying various elective positions to wait longer for particulars on when it will conduct its primaries in different regions and counties.

In a notice shared to newsrooms, ODM indicated it will discuss the nomination process under the Amizio la Umoja movement.

“As we await the outcome of the Azimio agreement, our supporters who have not registered as party members and aspirants who wish to participate in the party primaries exercise are advised to register as party members,” the notice read in sections.

ODM, in the notice, indicated it will close the registration of members exercise on February 21 when they will apply for a certified copy of the party register at the office of the Registrar of Political Parties which will be used to conduct their primaries.

Notably, the ODM’s NDC will be held on same days as those picked by Jubilee party.
