Youth and women
ODM emphasised that the celebrations will not just be about speeches and political symbolism but also about recognising the vital role of different groups within the party. A special focus has been placed on youth and women.
The party confirmed that the programme will feature forums dedicated to both groups.
“Activities will include a Youth Conference and a Women’s Conference,” the statement read.
The youth conference are expected to focus on the next generation of leaders, with discussions around innovation, jobs, and political participation.
The women’s conference, on the other hand, will provide a platform for addressing issues of representation, leadership, and empowerment within the party and across the national stage.

In addition to the conferences, ODM has planned a football tournament as part of the build-up to the anniversary.
According to the statement, the matches will serve both as entertainment and as a way to connect with communities in a relaxed and festive spirit.
The highlight of the celebrations will be the main event at the Mama Ngina Waterfront in Mombasa, where the party expects thousands of supporters to gather.
“Activities will include a football tournament and the main celebrations to be hosted at the Mama Ngina Waterfront,” the party added.

The choice of Mama Ngina Waterfront, a landmark along the Indian Ocean, underscores the party’s intention to make the celebrations not only political but also cultural, using the space as a unifying ground.
As the anniversary approaches, ODM has projected the Mombasa event as a major moment of reflection on its history while showcasing its future through youth, women, and community participation.
