Here is what you need to know in order to get up to speed with today’s happenings.
Safari 7s
Rugby enthusiasts who can’t make it to RFUEA grounds for one reason or another will today be treated to live coverage of the 2023 Safari 7s on K24 platforms.
The rugby action will be streamed live through K24TV, K24TV live stream, and K24Plus.
The thrilling two-day rugby action will be broadcast live on these platforms, featuring a total of 24 matches today and 19 matches on Sunday, marking the culmination of the tournament.
Among the participating teams are 2021 finalists Germany, alongside former Champions Samurai, Red Wailers, Uganda, SA All Stars, Tropic 7s, and Western Province Select, promising an unmissable display of rugby prowess.
Africa’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers
The African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup kicked off on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, as countries chase places for the competition to be played in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Nine African teams are guaranteed to compete at the World Cup. Another will participate in the Play-off Tournament as the global showpiece will host 48 teams for the first time ever.
Today, six teams clash in their opening matches in their respective groups. South Africa face Benin in Group C. Niger meet Tanzania in Group E while Senegal clash with South Sudan in Group B.
Euro qualifiers
Seven matches will be played today in the qualification round for the UEFA European Championship (Euro).
The European qualifiers for UEFA EURO 2024 run from March to November 2023, with the play-offs for the remaining finals places taking place on March 21 and March 26, 2024.
At the end of this qualifying round, 24 nations will qualify for the UEFA EURO 2024 to be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024.
Germany automatically qualified being the tournament’s host while Russia were kicked out of the qualifiers for invading Ukraine.
Today’s Euro qualification matches include; Armenia Vs Wales, Belarus Vs Andorra, Latvia Vs Croatia, France Vs Gibraltar, Israel Vs Romania, Netherlands Vs Ireland and Switzerland Vs Kosovo.
