Hello! Here’s what you need to know in order to get up to speed with today’s happenings.
Indonesian President Visits Kenya
President Joko Widodo is expected to visit Kenya today.
Widodo who leads South Asia’s biggest economy is expected to meet President William Ruto at State House, Nairobi.
The purpose of the meeting is to hold bilateral talks with Ruto in a bid to foster relations with Indonesia and the countries it is related to.
Kenya National Trading Corporation
President William Ruto and his Indonesian counterpart Joko Widodo will today launch the Mama Pima Edible Oil Dispensing Machines distributed by Kenya National Trading Corporation.
The purpose of the initiative is to help consumers access affordable cooking oil and create jobs for registered groups.
The event will be held at the Deputy county commissioner’s office in Dagoretti, Nairobi county from 8:00 am.
Launch of the Nyandarua county Boda Yangu Ofisi Yangu programme
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is today expected to launch the Nyandarua county Boda Yangu Ofisi Yang programme at the Kenya Methodist University, Nairobi Main Campus.
The programme is aimed at training riders on soft skills, saving and investing, and the registration of the National Hospital Insurance Fund.
Post Social Protection conference
The post-social protection conference cabinet secretary and partners meeting will be held at the Sarova Panafric from 7:00 am.
Ministry of Labour and social protection Cabinet Secretary (CS) Florence Bore will be the chief guest at the meeting.
Launch of AMREF strategic plan
AMREF Health Africa will today launch its strategic plan for the years 2023 – 2030.
The purpose of the event is to present a road map that defines targets and planned initiatives for the next seven years.
The event will also outline the determined pathway towards ensuring improved health outcomes for people across Kenya.
Health Cabinet Secretary (CS) Susan Nakhumicha will be the chief guest. The event will be held at the Serena Hotel in Nairobi.
MAA Cultural
The Ministry of Tourism, wildlife and Heritage in conjunction with the Maa counties of Kajiado, Narok and Samburu will today launch the inaugural Maa cultural festivals at Sekenani Gate, Maasai Mara in Narok county.
Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage CS Penina Malonza will be the chief guest.
