Nakuru man exhumes his father’s remains for occult

By , October 3, 2019

Patrick Mwangi, a 22-year-old from Sheldrick village, Subukia Nakuru County has shocked his villagers after exhuming the remains of his father who died over 17 years ago.

By Wednesday morning, Mwangi had already unburied the remains.

When a villager spotted him, he hid the remains in a bag. Mwangi had spent over eight hours digging the grave.

“We first saw soil coming from the grave-site where Mwangi’s father was buried in 2000,” said Teresiah Mumbi Karugu, relative to Mwangi and a resident of Maseno.

When asked, Mwangi said a diviner from Rumuruti, Laikipia County had asked for his father’s bones in order to make him (Mwangi) prosper.

Mwangi was, however, arrested by police before he could see the shaman.

It was not Mwangi’s first attempt to dig the grave. A few days prior, he had tried the same thing, but the villagers stopped.

“In the first time, he said that he wanted to see his father. We did not know he would do it again,” added Teresia.

Villagers said Mwangi, who is an orphan, has showed weird behavior in the past few months.
