‘Have Ksh15K medical fee ready’ – CS Mutua announces 1,000 drivers jobs in Saudi Arabia

Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua has announced 1,000 job opportunities for drivers.

Mutua in a statement shared via his official X account on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, said that the jobs are in Saudi Arabia, with a guaranteed average salary of Ksh50,000 per month.

According to the former Machakos county governor, interviews for the said jobs will kick off on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Lang’ata National Polytechnic.

“A reputable Saudi company is urgently seeking drivers to work in Saudi Arabia. Interviews will begin tomorrow at Langata National Polytechnic and will also take place in Nyeri and Mombasa,” Mutua stated.

He went ahead to state that the unnamed Saudi company is seeking to recruit drivers for small vehicles, buses, and trucks.

Mutua on recruitment venues

Moreover, Mutua gave the venues and recruitment dates, with Wednesday, December 18 and Thursday, December 19, 2024, being the day the exercise will take place at the Kabete Natikonal Polytechnic from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The recruitment exercise will the head to Nyeri National Polytechnic on Friday, December 20 and Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Monday, December 23 and Tuesday, December 24, 2024, are the days that have been set aside for the Kenya Coast National Polytechnic.

Candidates have been encouraged to carry their original driving license and certificates and Ksh15,000 medical fee, with successful candidates expected to travel immediately after completing their medical clearance.

“Prepare in advance and, if possible, have the Ksh15,000 medical fee ready. Successful candidates will travel immediately after completing their medical clearance. This is your chance to secure a job and better your future. Mbele iko Sawa!”

Some of the benefits for the successful candidates are free accommodation, transport, food, and medical care.

Etihad Airways deal

This comes just a day after Mutua said that Kenya had agreed with Etihad Airways to hire Kenyan pilots and technical professionals.

MutuaΒ made the revelation after meeting with the airline, which is resuming its flight programmes in the country.
