Murang’a police nab one in narcotics crackdown

“Police officers in Murang’a South Sub-County foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotics into Kenol Law Courts on the afternoon of Thursday, 25th September 2025,” the NPS X post dated September 26, 2025, read.
During a routine check of the court’s holding cells, court orderlies from Kenol Police Station discovered the individual in possession of a substantial cache of drugs.

Authorities seized 71 rolls of bhang, five sachets of kuber, and 18 tablets of cosmos. The seizure demonstrates the vigilance of officers tasked with ensuring safety and order in judicial facilities.
“While conducting a routine check of the court’s holding cells, court orderlies from Kenol Police Station arrested a suspect found in possession of 71 rolls of bhang, five sachets of kuber, and 18 tablets of cosmos,” read the NPS statement in part.
Person of interest in custody
Following the arrest, the person of interest was escorted to Kenol Police Station and placed in custody, where processing and arraignment preparations are underway.
“The suspect was immediately escorted to Kenol Police Station and placed in custody, pending processing and arraignment in court.”
