Mudavadi reveals details of his meeting with Kakamega county leadership
Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has revealed the details of his meeting with the leadership of Kakamega County.
Taking to his official X account on December 10, 2024, Mudavadi stated that he had met Governor Fernandes Barasa alongside his deputy Ayub Savula and other top county officials.
Mudavadi, who has noted that a clear and actionable development agenda is the cornerstone of a county’s ability to operate efficiently and deliver exceptional services to its people, stated that his discussions with the Kakamega County leadership were insightful.
During the meeting, Mudavadi says they delved into projects already making a difference and shared their plans for the future of Kakamega.
The former Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader, who doubles as Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary, further revealed that they had explored pathways to accelerate progress and ensure every initiative benefits the people of Kakamega County.
“A clear and actionable development agenda is the cornerstone of a county’s ability to operate efficiently and deliver exceptional services to its people. I met the leadership of Kakamega County, led by H.E. Governor @BarasaFernandes and Deputy Governor Ayub Savula. Our discussions were insightful, delving into projects already making a difference and sharing their plans for the future of this devolved unit. Together, we explored pathways to accelerate progress and ensure every initiative benefits the people of Kakamega County,” Mudavadi stated.
Mudavadi was in Kakamega County on Monday, December 9, 2024, where he launched a digital hub at Kakamega County Polytechnic.
He pointed out that the move is part of the government’s plan to harness the potential of digital technologies by expanding internet connectivity.
Through an ambitious plan to link all Technical and Vocational Education Training Institutions (TVETs) to fibre, Mudavadi said the goal is to establish 1,450 digital hubs nationwide, ensuring every community has access to the opportunities of the digital age.
“The world is experiencing a wave of transformative forces reshaping markets, economies, and societies, ushering in a new era powered by digital transformation and artificial intelligence. In response, the government is making bold strides to harness the potential of digital technologies by expanding internet connectivity.
“Through an ambitious plan to link all Technical and Vocational Education Training Institutions (TVETs) to fibre, the goal is to establish 1,450 digital hubs nationwide, ensuring every community has access to the opportunities of the digital age,” Mudavadi stated.
