MP Waluke supports Ruto’s call to end demos, says Gen Zs are criminals who will drive country to anarchy
Sirisia Member of Parliament (MP) John Waluke has firmly stood his stance against the ongoing anti-government protests driven by the Gen Zs.
Addressing a crowd, the lawmaker backed President William Ruto’s efforts to tame the sustained protests noting that it’s high time the demos end. He firmly pointed out that the demos staged by the country’s youth have led to the destruction of property and loss of lives.
Without mentioning names, Waluke faulted NGOs for the demos emphasising that they are the reason for the sustained protests in the country.
“We need peace in this country, tunasupport rais kucancel kila kitu, hao watu hakuna room wanafaa kupewa wafanye maandamano. Maandamano ni ya nini? Ata kama iko kwa constitution, sometimes inakatazwa because of destruction to property, ni mambo ya kuleta vifo katika nchi na NGO wanalipa because kazi yao ni hio,” he said.
The MP additionally underscored that the protesters were driving the country to anarchy with the continued demos against the government.
He also weighed in on the incident of parents reporting cases of their children killed in demonstrations noting that they only have themselves to blame for allowing their children to participate in the demonstrations.
The legislator further emphasised that each parent has the responsibility of warning their kids against participating in the protests.
“Who is Gen Z?
He, at the same time, took a swipe at human rights groups saying they are biased in defending rights as they have failed to acknowledge brutality meted on police officers in their lines of duty.
