MP Theuri backs Sonko, calls for more consultation on projects
Embakasi West MP George Theuri has expressed optimisim that Governor Mike Sonko will deliver on his development agenda for the city.
Theuri, who served as a councilor in the defunct City Council on Thursday hailed Sonko’s road projects in his constituency, the upgrade of Mama Lucy and building of a fire station.
This came as President Uhuru Kenyatta, while speaking at Bomas of Kenya during Wednesday BBI official launch, challenged MPs, Senators and MCAs to allow governors to work for the people on the ground.
Section of Nairobi Elected Leaders held press conference accusing Governor Mike Sonko of not performing an issue that Theuri refuted challenging Senator Sakaja and other MPs at the media briefing to support and work for the people the way Sonko does.
“We have seen a lot and especially the projects you have done in Embakasi West and we are looking forward for more,” Theuri said.
Theuri was speaking at the Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital where he joined the City boss for the official launch of the queue management system.
