Kapseret Constituency Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree by Northwestern Christian University.

Sudi on Saturday, December 21, 2024, took to his official X account to express his gratitude for having been honored.

The controversial lawmaker revealed that he had received the Honorary Doctorate Degree in Leadership, Administration, and Management, during a graduation ceremony at The Eldoret National Polytechnic.

Sudi on education

Sudi further stated that the recognition underscored the limitless nature of education.

“I am deeply honoured to receive an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Leadership, Administration, and Management from Northwestern Christian University at The Eldoret National Polytechnic. This recognition underscores the limitless nature of education—it truly has no limits,” Sudi stated.

He went ahead to congratulate The Eldoret National Polytechnic 2024 graduands and wished them well as they venture into the employment market.

“To this year’s graduates, congratulations on this remarkable milestone. May your journeys ahead be impactful and inspiring,” Sudi wrote on his official X account.

Donald Kipkorir’s reaction

City lawyer Donald Kipkorir is among the Kenyans that have reacted to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) lawmaker’s latest achievement.

Kipkorir through his official X account on Saturday, December 21, celebrated Sudi’s achievement saying;

“Congratulations Eng. Dr. Oscar Sudi. As fellow Marakwet, I celebrate Sudi’s achievements. Rising from a matatu conductor to Halls of Power is in itself achievement worth celebrating. His Conferment of Honorary PhD is a feather in his cap! Congratulations Doc Engineer!”

Sudi’s forgery charges

Sudi was in June 2024 acquitted of forgery charges by a Nairobi court.

Anti-corruption chief magistrate Felix Kombo freed the MP stating that the prosecution failed to produce the academic certificates he is alleged to have forged.

The MP was charged with forging his academic certificates and presenting a false declaration form to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to be cleared to contest the 2013 general election.

The magistrate faulted the investigating officer for the manner he obtained part of the evidence.
