More leaders condemn LGBTQ ruling

Political leaders have told off western nations supporting recognition of LGBTQ rights saying that the country can do without their financial aid.
Speaking during a burial ceremony at Gatuamba village in Kieni and Miagayu-ini primary school in Tetu Constituency, during the burial ceremonies of Francis Githinji – father-in-law to Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga and Moses Kagiri who is the father of Laikipia County Woman Representative Jane Kagiri, the leaders said the ruling by the Supreme court cannot dictate or inform change of our culture adding that if that is one of the conditions to get financial support then they can do away with it.
Led by Bomet Governor Hilary Barchok, the leaders said they would rather do away with the financial aid but they cannot allow practices that go against their culture.
“If I marry my fellow man shall we sire children? Will we have a future? Those are teachings that are unacceptable to us and if there must be conditions, it’s better we do away with their money because God will make a way and open other doors for us because we must maintain our discipline,” Barchok stated.
Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga and his Kericho counterpart Eric Mutai said that they cannot allow satanic culture to thrive in the country.
“We want to remind the supreme court that they have no powers to rewrite our constitution on behalf of the people of Kenya even if we are struggling economically the western nations have no right to dictate which culture to take in we will not allow it,” Kericho governor Eric Mutai said.
Laikipia Senator John Kinyua castigated the Supreme Court for the ruling noting that the Kenyan constitution does not allow gays and lesbianism.
“The Supreme Court allowing LGBTQ rights is like condemning acts of thuggery but allowing the same thieves to have an association which is not possible,” Kinyua said.
Laikipia East MP Mwangi Kiunjuri and his Mathira counterpart Eric Wamumbi also condemned the Supreme court judges for the ruling saying that what they did is unforgivable.
