Mohammed Ali reveals upcoming book on Jicho Pevu investigations

Nyali Member of Parliament (MP) Mohammed Ali has announced plans to release an exclusive book detailing his investigative journalism journey and political experiences. The book, which is now with the editor, will offer readers a behind-the-scenes look at his high-risk investigations and the decisions he made along the way.

In a statement shared on X on Thursday, January 1, 2026, Mohammed Ali said his upcoming book will detail his investigative journalism journey. He added that it will cover the chaos, fear, and excitement that accompanied his investigations.

“For those who have wondered and persistently requested to re-live my Jicho Pevu Days, I am happy to let you know that an exclusive book detailing my investigative journey and politics is coming out in a few months! Here is a window into all the chaos, fear, and excitement that went into all the high-risk investigations I did and all the choices I made thereafter,” Ali said.

He added that he has left no story untold in the book, aiming to provide an honest account of his time leading some of the country’s most daring investigations.

“As the book is now with the editor, I want you to know I left no story untold and laid it all bare for you! I hope you will enjoy reading it,” he added.

Beyond his literary plans, Ali also reflected on the opportunities that 2026 presents for his political work in Mombasa. He expressed determination to improve service delivery and deliver justice to his constituents.

“2026 presents an exciting opportunity to lead better, pursue greater and do more for my People in Mombasa. I look forward to making this year count for them by God’s grace to provide relief and a path forward that delivers justice and a hopeful future for generations to come,” he stated.

Ali concluded by extending warm wishes to Kenyans for the new year, emphasising hope and well-being for families.

“May this year bring forth all that is good for you and your families. Happy New Year,” he said.
