Modern learning facilities launched

By , October 4, 2023

Shinyalu MP Fred Ikana has launched construction of modern learning blocks in five schools in the constituency. Ikana said yesterday that the buildings will help improve academic performance by offering a conducive learning environment.

He said many schools in the constituency lacked sufficient land which is why the storey buildings, to cost between Sh20 million and Sh30 million each, would be the game changer.

He stated that the first batch of schools that had benefited from the programme include Shitochi Primary in Isukha South, Ivakale Primary in Isukha North, St. Clare’s Munasio Primary in Isukha West, St. Joseph’s Mukulusu Primary in Murhanda and Ileho Primary in Isukha East wards.

“We have also allocated Sh3 nillion towards the refurbishment and expansion of Shikulu Primary School and purchased a 52-seater bus for Lugala Secondary. This is the beginning of a journey to transform Shinyalu,” he said.
