By , February 7, 2021

Homicide detectives from Mbeere in Embu county are holding a middle-aged man suspected to have wiped his whole family Sunday morning in multiple deaths.

According to police sources, the suspect David Kariuki Nyaga had locked his wife and two children, aged nine(9) and five(5) in the house before committing the heinous act.

The Directive of Criminal Investigations(DCI) said the village Assistant Chief informed the police who rushed to the scene and found the man having committed the murders.

“Earlier, our officers had been informed by the village Assistant Chief Anthony Munyiri of the incident and together with their Police counterparts, rushed to the scene. Unfortunately, by the time of their arrival the suspect had wiped out his entire family in the most despicable manner,” said DCI in a statement.

The suspect is believed to have hit each of his victims forehead with a sledge hammer.
