‘Ruto should consider putting a stop to too much county visits’ – Manyora

Political analyst Herman Manyora has asked President William Ruto to halt his frequent county visits.

Taking to his official X account, formerly Twitter, Manyora lauded the President for touring the Western region which is his backyard, however, he asked the president to stop the frequent trips since they were too much and draining county resources.

While reiterating that the visits are costly, the political analyst also noted that the President’s trips to the counties interfere with the normal work schedule.

“President Ruto: Thank you for visiting our mulembe nation. but from a loyal subject: consider putting these visits and launches to a stop. they’re becoming too much and a drain on our meagre resources. your excellency, moving the president around is costly.

“Your excellency, it may interest you to know that all work stops when you’re around. like the entire western region shut for all the time you were there. please consider this as coming from your loyal subject and with tremendous respect and utmost humility. once again thank you for your visit to western,” he wrote.

Ruto’s trips

Ruto has been touring various counties as part of his development projects. Manyora’s remarks come ahead of the President’s five-day tour of the western region.

The tour which began yesterday saw the President attending a church service in Kiwanja Ndege, Bungoma county.

The President also launched various projects such as the 300-bed capacity maternity wing at Bungoma County referral hospital, the aggregation industrial park at Sang’alo Institute of Science and Technology, a new Bungoma County assembly building, and roads,
