“Nimeona Murkomen anasema ati Rigathi akifika airport ati akamwatwe; nataka kumwambia huyu Murkomen, ‘Kama wewe ni Mwanaume, jaribu ukamate Murkomen,'” Malala said.
“Sisi tumesema party leader wetu atatangaza ile tarehe atakuja, ile ndege atatumia ile kiti atakalia, na masaa ambayo ile ndege itafika hapa,” Malala stated.
Malala revealed that they are mobilising more than 300,000 supporters to welcome the former deputy president at the airport, daring the government to now continue with their plans of having the DCP leader arrested.

“Tumesema, we are mobilising more than 300,000 people waende wampokee kule airport tuone utamshikia wapi,” he added.

He further added that it’s unconstitutional for the current regime to use law enforcement officers to settle their political scores with those who oppose it.
“It is unconstitutional for the government of the day to use the police in settling political scores. Hon. Rigathi Gachagua will not be intimidated by overzealous state officers out to seek political relevance.” He added.
Call for his arrest
On August 9, 2025, during an empowerment event in Keiyo South, Elgeyo Marakwet, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki demanded that Gachagua be arrested and record a statement with investigative agencies upon his return to Kenya to substantiate his terrorism claims.
Kindiki labelled Gachagua a “reckless traitor”, emphasising that such claims threaten national security and urging authorities to hold him accountable to assist with investigations.
Similarly, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen insisted that Gachagua report to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) immediately upon landing to clarify his accusations. Murkomen criticised Gachagua for trivialising national security for political gain and damaging Kenya’s image.
