By Luke Oluoch, July 20, 2025Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) Deputy Leader Cleophas Malala on Sunday, July 20, 2025, led the party’s delegation in attending a church service at AIC Subukia in Nakuru County.
Malala was accompanied by Nyandarua Senator John Methu and Kajiado legislator Onesmus Ngogoyo, among other grassroots leaders who joined the church faithful for the day’s service.
“DCP National leaders led by Deputy Party Leader Sen. Cleophas Malala and Nyandarua Senator Methu attending church service at AIC Subukia and thereafter meet the people tours,” a statement from the party read.
Meeting the people
The church event will precede a scheduled meet-the-people tour organised to popularise the party and engage with locals of the area.
According to the itinerary, the opposition party will traverse the region through the two centres of Subukia and Kabazi.
The entourage will then proceed to the Bahati Centre, where they will make stopovers at several spots to address residents.
Additionally, the procession will also visit Maili Kumi, Ahero, and Maili Sita before concluding the community engagement at Heshima town.
The foregoing comes as DCP party leader Rigathi Gachagua’s tours to engage the diaspora community in the United States continue.

In his latest plea to the community living abroad, Gachagua assured that the opposition has definite plans to transform the country’s economy once President William Ruto has been ousted.
He explained that vital economic stabilisation plans will take centre stage in the country once President William Ruto has been removed.
He acknowledged that the diaspora community remains hesitant to remit money at home, citing cases of mismanagement and bribery being perpetrated by government agencies.
“Today you know how our economy has declined. It is in a nosedive. For us to improve health care and end corruption, we must exit Ruto. It is why we have the “wantam’ movement. Once he is out, we have other programmes on how we restore our economy. How do we restore public confidence among investors and attract foreign investors back in the country?” he stated.
