Kisumu All Starlets win FKF NSL title

Kisumu Allstarlets emerged triumphant as the champions of the FKF Women’s National Super League after a thrilling 3-2 victory over Mombasa Olympic at Dandora Stadium on Saturday, June 8, 2024.

Monica Etot put Kisumu Allstarlets ahead early in the game, but Mombasa Olympic fought back strongly, with Bush Nell Sharon netting twice in the 28th and 39th minutes to give her team the lead.

However, Kisumu Allstarlets staged a remarkable comeback in the second half.

Oraro Rosemary sparked the revival with a goal in the 86th minute, and Monica Etot completed her brace with a crucial goal in the 94th minute, securing the championship for Kisumu Allstarlets in a dramatic fashion.

Meanwhile, in another playoff match, KISPED Queens clinched the final promotion slot to the FKF Women’s Premier League with a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Kayole Starlet.

Linda Ajwang’ scored the decisive goal for KISPED in the 29th minute, sealing their promotion to the top flight.

In the FKF Women’s Division One final playoff, Vickers Queens emerged as the champions with an emphatic 4-1 win over Kakamega Starlets.

Diana Koseke opened the scoring for Vickers in the 20th minute, followed by Catherine Aringo’s brace, and Ruth Chebungei added a fourth goal to seal their dominant victory.

With these results, KISPED Queens have earned promotion to the FKF Women’s Premier League for the 2024/25 season, joining Kisumu All Starlets and Mombasa Olympic. Meanwhile, Vickers Queens, Kakamega Starlets, Makolanders, and Fortune Ladies are set to compete in the FKF Women’s National Super League.
