Kindiki pledges to complete late Olkalou MP’s development projects
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has assured residents of Ol Kalou that the government will complete all development projects initiated by the late area MP David Kiaraho, even as leaders and locals gathered to honour his legacy.
Taking to his official X account on Sunday, April 5, 2026, after an interdenominational church service held at the late legislator’s rural home in Gachwe village, Kindiki described Kiaraho as a calm, courteous, and principled leader who stood apart from the often confrontational nature of Kenyan politics.
“The late David Kiaraho was a decent man, a fine and courteous leader who separated himself from rough, crude, and sometimes violent political culture that is all too common around us,” Kindiki stated.
Kindiki pledged, on behalf of the government, to ensure that all ongoing projects launched by Kiaraho, including roads, electricity, and water initiatives, are completed, while those that were in the pipeline are prioritised.
“Undertook on behalf of the Government of Kenya, to ensure that all ongoing road, electricity, water, and other projects that the late David Kiaraho are completed, and the new ones he wanted done are prioritized and implemented,” he assured.
