Kenya records 9 new Covid-19 cases
Kenya on Sunday recorded nine new Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 3,572 tested in the past 24 hours.
This translates to a 0.3 per cent positivity rate.
No deaths reported during the period.
“Eight of the new cases are Kenyans while one is a foreigner. Four are males and five are females.
“The youngest patient is a seven-year old child while the oldest is 57 years old,” Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said in a statement.
Death toll remained at 5,647 after zero deaths were reported during the period.
Total number of positive cases reported is 323,374 out of 3,499,532 cumulative tests.
Vaccination
Some 17,519,571 vaccines had been administered across the country as of March 26.
Only 29.5 per cent of the total people vaccinated have received both cases of the jabs.
