Kabras Sugar wrapped up an unblemished Kenya Cup regular season with a gritty 14-10 triumph over KCB Rugby at the Kakamega Showground.

Despite KCB taking an early lead with Darwin Mukidza’s try, Kabras fought back, notching George Nyambua’s score and Ntabeni Dukisa’s penalties to lead 11-7.

Elsewhere, Kisumu secured their Kenya Cup status with a 23-17 win over Strathmore Leos, while Menengai Oilers condemned Catholic Monks to relegation with a 34-23 victory.

Nakuru claimed a dramatic 31-20 win over Mwamba with a last-gasp intercept try, and Kenyatta University Blak Blad’s playoff hopes received a boost with a 28-0 walkover win against Homeboyz.

In another match, Nondescripts clinched a 21-13 victory over Kenya Harlequin, securing a spot in the quarterfinal playoffs.

Despite early penalties from Nyaenya Moseti and Evin Asena, Leonard Fogang’s try gave Quins a 13-6 lead at halftime.

However, Sankara Wafula’s try and Moseti’s conversion leveled the scores before Dominic Osino sealed the win for Nondies with a try and a drop goal.
