Jubilee supporters storm out of tallying centre as Moses Kuria’s candidate takes early lead in Juja

Jubilee party candidate supporters for Juja by-election have walked out of the tallying centre in protest of the ongoing process which they have termed as flawed.
The supporters led by Kiambu Town MP Jude Njomo and the Jubilee flag bearer Susan Njeri said they will not sit and watch announcement of results they claimed are cooked.
The supporters in their tens said that Indipendent Electoral and Boundaries Commission failed to count some of the votes at the polling stations which had been cast ‘in favour of Njeri’.
Addressing journalists outside Mang’u High School, the main tallying centre for the Constituency, the aggrieved Jubilee enthusiasts said they will move to court to quash any ruling that IEBC will make against the will of Juja people.
“We shall not sit and watch IEBC announce results of a flawed process,” said Njomo.
Among other things, they accused their opponent of engaging in voter bribery, intimidation and other election malpractices vowing to stay put.
This is happening as the People’s Empowerment Party candidate George Koimburi continues to take an early lead.
