Japan’s PM Kishida Fumio concludes his 2-day visit to Kenya

Japan’s Prime Minister Kishida Fumio has ended his two-day official visit to Kenya where he held bilateral talks with President William Ruto.

While confirming his departure at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Cabinet Secretary (CS) Alfred Mutu said Fumio and his host discussed mutually beneficial commercial and economic partnerships, education and scholarships as well as infrastructural development.

“This afternoon at JKIA, I saw off the Prime Minister of Japan H.E. Kishida Fumio following a successful two-day official visit to the country.

“During the visit, Prime Minister Kishida Fumio held fruitful deliberations with H.E. President William Samoei Ruto where the two Excellencies discussed the range of activities that anchor the two countries relation’s including mutually beneficial commercial and economic partnerships, education and scholarships as well as infrastructural development.

“The High Level discussions also focused on regional peace and security concerns, including the ongoing situation in Sudan,” the CS said.

Fumio visits 4-African countries

The Japanese Prime Minister arrived in Kenya on Tuesday as part of his four-leg African tour.

The Japanese leader had already visited Egypt as well as Ghana from Saturday.

He will end his African trip in Mozambique.
