Here is what you need to know to get up to speed with today’s happenings.
KPSEA exam results
Parents are expected to find out what their children scored after the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) released the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) results.
On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang urged parents to take their Grade 7 pupils to school as they wait for the results.
However, by Tuesday, evening, the results were released and updated on school portals.
“The 2024 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) reports are ready and have been uploaded on the CBA portal, http://cba.knec.ac.ke. Schools that presented candidates for the assessment are advised to log into the portal and access the learner-specific reports. Congratulations to all the 2024 KPSEA candidates,” KNEC stated.
IG Kanja expected in court
Police Inspector General Douglas Kanja is expected in court today Wednesday, January 8, 2025, following a summons issued by High Court judge Bahati Mwamuye.
Kanja is expected to present himself in court today to answer about the whereabouts of one abductee who has yet to resurface despite five others being freed on
Monday, January 6, 2025.
Steve Mbisi Kavingo is yet to be seen after he was abducted. Yet, Billy Mwangi, Peter Muteti, Gideon Kibet, Ronny Kiplangat and Bernard Kavuli have been found and reunited with their families.
The six were abducted between December 21-24, 2024 and were released on Monday, January 6, 2025, after spending the festivities in the hands of their captors.
Despite the police distancing themselves from the abductions, Kanja is expected to present himself to court or face contempt of court charges.
