Stars were seeded as hosts in Group A and will face two-time winners Morocco and DR Congo, as well as Angola and Zambia. Tanzania, co-hosts with Kenya and Uganda, were seeded as hosts in Group B and will take on Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, and the Central African Republic in their pool.
The Uganda Cranes were seeded as hosts in Group C and will meet Niger, Guinea, Qualifier 1, and Qualifier 2 during the tournament that will be staged in August.
Defending champions Senegal are in Group D, which is a four-team pool, and will face Congo, Sudan, and Nigeria.
There are two places still up for grabs with Algeria, Comoros, Gambia, Malawi, Egypt, South Africa, and Gabon to take part in a qualification campaign to fill the slots in the draw for Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2.

Reactions to Muturi’s abduction ordeal
After the Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi opened up about how his family felt following the abduction of his son, he faced criticism from pro-Kenya Kwanza leaders.
South Mugirango Member of Parliament (MP) Sylvanus Osoro added his voice to the debate and asked the CS to resign, or he would be impeached.
“The level of pretence that we have in government in this country iko juu sana.
You resign ama nikutoe,” Osoro said.
Initially, Aldai MP Marianne Kitany had called for the former National Assembly Speaker to resign instead of criticising the government he is serving.
