By , July 21, 2020

DIGITAL: Budget Airline Jambojet has launched an App that will allow customers to book tickets, check in and access their boarding pass on their smartphones.

The progressive web App (PWA) is expected to be a hit for the fast-paced business executive, as it will save on time usually witnessed during check as well as help reduce touch points especially in the new normal era of Covid-19 pandemic, said .

The airline’s Head of Information Systems, Benjamin Collins said the app is also targeting Kenya’s increasing digital population who evidently want to save time as they prepare for travel.

“We will keep updating the app with more functionalities to streamline the customer journey,” said Collins.

PWA is available on Android and iOS, and unlike the standard mobile apps or the web, PWAs consume less data and are reliable even in uncertain network conditions.

“This is part of our commitment to continue offering innovative solutions that are responsive to our customer needs,” said Collins.
