Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah has expressed confidence in Kenya’s potential to become a better and developed nation.

In a statement shared via his official X account, Omtatah observed that the issue of poor governance has robbed the country’s potential to become a great nation that caters to its people.

He highlighted that good and effective governance is built on three essential pillars which are key to rewriting the Kenyan narrative and propelling the country towards the right direction. They include, an impersonal state, the rule of law, and accountability.

“The time has come for us to believe in ourselves and each other, to take charge of our destiny, and to push for a better Kenya. At the heart of our societal challenges lies the issue of governance. Good & effective governance built on three essential pillars; an impersonal state, the rule of law, and accountability, has the potential to rewrite the Kenyan narrative,” he said.

The senator additionally pointed the urgency to establish proper and functional systems that work fairly for everyone regardless of their status in society.

While observing the important aspects that will propel Kenya to greater heights, Omtatah further called on citizens to join his movement which he says vigorously advocates for a better country.

“There is urgent need to establish proper and functional systems that create an authority that transcends individual manipulation, ensuring accountability for everyone, regardless of their status. Our future hinges on empowering individuals, businesses, and communities to thrive independently of political cycles.

“A Kenya where fairness, justice, and opportunity serve as the foundation of national growth. Join us in this movement for systemic change. Let us work hand in hand to create a brighter future for all Kenyans,” he added.
