Inside Ruto’s itinerary to Lang’ata and Kibra Constituencies

President William Ruto is today expected to continue his tour of Nairobi County, where he will be visiting Lang’ata and Kibra Constituencies.
In his trip which marks the fourth day, the head of state is expected to make a stop at Ayany Primary School in Kibera, where he will engage various stakeholders and learners.
He is also expected to make a stop at a TVET College at DCC Grounds within the same constituency.

In Lang’ata the country’s first-in-command will launch an Affordable Housing Project, alongside various stakeholders.
Within the region, he will also visit Lang’ata TVET in Karen C area and PCEA Booth Girls High School in Ngong’ Forest for its opening.
He will then conclude his tour in Kiongoni Secondary School.
The president will be accompanied by a section of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leaders.
Ruto tours Dagoretti
His Thursday tour comes after he visited areas of Kangemi and Dagoretti, where he made a stop at PC Kinyanjui Technical Training Institute and promised to provide 100 computers by April.
This is after he was impressed by Denis Kipkurui’s tale that university and college students were no longer struggling thanks to his initiative to launch ICT labs across the country, including one at the institution.
Kipkurui, a student at the facility, lauded the president’s program as he disclosed that he pockets close to Ksh6,000 from online jobs.
“I’m taking it. Currently, my computer is not switching on, but I will just explain it to you. I am a product of the Jitume Digital Programme, and I am a student here. I work with Payrib, an online platform where I earn money by promoting products. Currently, I have earned $50.2, which is approximately Ksh6,500, and we withdraw the money when it reaches around $100. With that, I can tell you that it is helping students here in this school—we are doing well,” Kipkurui stated.

The president’s pledge to donate 100 computers followed after Kipkurui expressed concern that they had insufficient computers.
He also excitedly stated that he was eager to visit the institution before but never had the opportunity to do so until now.
At the same time, the president pledged to enhance their digital learning experience by installing fibre-optic wifi at the institution.
“Thank you, comrades. Nyinyi watu wa sinema nyingi, tokeni hapa! I am so proud to be at PC Kinyanjui. I have spoken with the parliamentarians here, and I have always wanted to visit this institution, so today is a privilege. The community here has given you an opportunity through this Jitume Lab, and I am happy. As Denis has said, we may need more computers. So next month, I will ensure that 100 additional computers are brought here so that more students from PC Kinyanjui can benefit,” Ruto stated.
