If Gor need me they will call, says Muguna as he shifts to upcountry
By People Reporter, July 28, 2020Gor Mahia captain Kennedy Muguna’s hopes to stay at the club next season seem to be dwindling after it emerged that the club had not engaged him in talks to renew his contract, close to a month after he became a free agent.
The highly rated Harambee Stars midfielder yesterday told People Sport that he had decided to shift to up country to avoid accruing rental fees and yet he no longer had a contract with any club.
“I have gone up country in Kisumu and if Gor or any other team needs me, they will call me.
At the moment I will be training by myself in up country to remain fit,” he told People Sport.
He added: “I have never had any talks with Gor despite initial plans. First I was told that the chairman Ambrose Rachier was sick and that they will engage me in contract talks immediately he recovered, but three weeks later I have not heard a word.”
