The government will establish Huduma centres in all parliamentary constituencies, the Principal Secretary for Public Service Amos Gathecha has said.

Gathecha said this will take services closer to the people, adding that the government intends to increase services offered through the centres.

The PS said that currently, there are 52 Huduma Centres in the country and they intend to increase the number to 340.

Speaking during a tour of Murang’a County, Gathecha said the ministry is working on a master plan for the establishment of the centres to tabulate the cost adding that the project will be funded by the World Bank.

“We will have the centres done in phases but we project to have all of them completed in the next five years,” said the PS. He added that the government is planning to have more than 5,000 services offered online in a bid to enhance efficiency in service delivery.
