Kenyans who applied for their identification cards (IDs) can now visit Huduma Centres and pick over 134,602 IDs across 53 centres nationwide.

“Huduma Kenya deeply regrets any delays in ID production and commits to working closely with the National Registration Bureau to expedite the processing of all pending IDs,” said Huduma Kenya.

 For the last six months, thousands of Kenyans who applied for IDs have been camping at the Huduma Centres, without success. Huduma Kenya had attributed the delay to a court order that halted the production of IDs.

 Stephen Ingabo, the Director of Public Relations and Communications at Huduma Kenya, clarified saying processing of government services is undertaken by the respective government agency legally mandated to provide the service.
