How to access 2025 by-election results in real time
By Francis Muli, November 27, 2025The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has outlined how Kenyans can track the 2025 by-election results as they are announced across all affected constituencies and wards.
With polling stations already closed in all locations, the Commission has assured the public that the results will be released transparently and promptly through its official online portal.
According to IEBC, the counting of votes begins immediately after the close of polling. Once counting is complete, the presiding officer records the results on official forms in the presence of agents and observers.
“Once counting is complete, the results are recorded on the official forms, which are then signed by the agents. Copies are issued to the agents, and one copy is pinned to the door of the polling station,” IEBC said.
This means every voter has access to results at the polling station level, as they are publicly displayed before transmission.
The presiding officer then makes a public announcement at the station before packing all election materials.
“The presiding officer then announces the results at the polling station, packs all election materials, and delivers the results to the constituency tallying centre,” IEBC noted.
Accessing verified results online
IEBC has activated its official results portal, where tallied and verified results will be uploaded in real time.
The 2025 by-election results will be available at https://forms.iebc.or.ke.
The portal will display polling station results forms, constituency tally summaries and final verified outcomes for all elective seats in the by-election.
IEBC has urged the public to rely solely on its official results page to avoid misinformation circulating on social media.
