A senior government official was embarrassed last week during the first day of the public viewing of retired President Daniel arap Moi’s body in Parliament.

His attempt to enter the holding room where senior politicians were having a meeting before the event officially started was thwarted by the military.

His plea that he had every right to get into the room were rebuffed by a senior military officer who told him to his face that the politicians had requested for privacy.
