Kilifi County Chief Officer for Fisheries and blue economy Rahab Karisa is dead.
Kilifi County Commander Fatuma Hadi confirmed that the deceased was stabbed to death by her househelp at her apartment in Mnarani.

She said police officers have launched a manhunt for the househelp who fled after the attack to establish the motive of the murder.

The chief officer had just returned to the country from a county workshop in Italy when she met her death.

“Police have commenced investigation into the matter so as to arrest the culprit. We will give details on the matters once we conclude our facts,” she said.

The body of the deceased has been moved to Kilifi County referral hospital pending postmortem.
